PIP QI Update

The Practice Incentives Program (PIP) aims to support general practice activities, including continual improvements, quality care, enhanced capacity, and improved access and health outcomes for patients.

The Practice Incentives Program (PIP) will change from 1 August 2019 when the removal of four of the existing PIPs will be replaced with a new incentive, the PIP QI (Quality Improvement).

All service providers should be aware that there have been recent reports of scammers targeting Home Care Package recipients via phone.

Transforming Health Care Campaign

The Transforming Health Care campaign is a government-funded national campaign initiated by the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP), which is the national peak body for Nurse Practitioners and advanced practice nurses in Australia.

Dementia peak body welcomes new era of aged care rights and quality standards

Dementia Australia welcomes the recently announced Charter of Aged Care Rights and Aged Care Quality Standards as a reinforcement of the commitment by governments and the aged care industry to focus more strongly on consumer choice and engagement.

An Easy English resource on making a complaint about a Victorian public mental health service has been developed.

The new resource is for a broad range of Victorians, including consumers, families and carers who have intellectual disability or psychosocial disability, or who come from culturally diverse backgrounds.

The training is for medical practitioners only. A medical practitioner must complete this training before they complete an assessment as either a co-ordinating or consulting medical practitioner.
