Reading Buddies Term 4 Training - Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 10 AM – 11:30 AM

Reading Buddies is a brilliant team of local volunteers who gift their time to support children in-school with one-on-one reading.   On behalf of several local primary schools, WSMLLEN are seeking to train new Reading Buddies for term 4 this year, and for 2020.

The training will provide you with a solid grasp of current reading strategies use in schools and techniques to engage the children in the love of reading.

Ready Buddies attend a school once per week for approximately an hour. Each school runs their programs slightly different, but as a Reading Buddy, you could expect to read to 4-5 children in the time frame, perhaps assist with swapping take-home readers, and to form genuine relationships with the children who look forward to your visit!

Please contact Lorraine at the Wimmera Southern Mallee LLEN for more information on the program, or to register for the training. Tel (03) 5381 0122 -
